The building permit specified two stories and six rooms, and House Design No. 1 from the 1908-1909 catalogue of the Chicago House Wrecking Company meets these criteria, as well as having an interior staircase similar to the one I knew as a child. Also, the façade, although lacking a dormer window, resembles that of the oldest photograph we have of the house. – Linda Reverchon
