The building permit lists the original owner of this house ad D.C. Tatum of Cincinnati. The house was built for an estimated $1,500. There is no D. C. Tatum listed in the 1887 St. Paul City Directory. A much altered Victorian house that sits below the street grade. It is the oldest house on the block.
