This double house was constructed in 1888 for an estimated cost of $11,000. The original owner was Charles L. Carman, a vocal teacher who boarded at 541 Wacouta Street, the residence of the architect, John H. Coxhead. The house was extensively renovated in 1980 when the owner and contractor was Gregory Hotzler.[1]
