History
The building is a combination of office space and an apartment. The building is owned by the Portland Avenue Church Of Christ.
Stanley Washburn, vice president and general manager of the Washburn Steel Castings & Coupler Company, resided at the former 2200 Stevens Avenue South according to the 1909 city directory. The other officers of the Washburn Steel Castings & Coupler Company were W. D. Washburn, president, and C. C. Crane, secretary and treasurer and officed at the Met Life Building according to the 1909 city directory.[1]
