This building was formerly the office of the Kopper's Coke Company and is currently vacant.
Some significant details include "simple gabled roof structure with parapet endwalls, red ceramic tile roof, enclosed gabled entrance area, single leaf door with narrow sidelights and transom. Concrete sills, some decorative brickwork."
"A brick period revival industrial office which served as the headquarters for the Kopper's Coke operations adjacent to the Great Northern Railroad tracks, north of this building."[1]
History
"This building was built in 1916 at a cost of $210,400. The original owner was the Minnesota By-Products Coke Company, apparently a local name for Kopper's Coke Company. The building served as the Kopper's Coke Office from 1916 until ca. 1980."
