The Lake Theatre was a 645 seat neighborhood theater, in business from the late 1920s to the mid/late 1950s. Original owner was the Lake Amusement Company, which also owned the East Lake Theatre at 1537 E. Lake St. & later owned the El Lago Theater at 3506 E. Lake St. The Lake Theatre was razed in the 1970s along with several other businesses and the East Lake Library is now on that site.
