INTRODUCTION
According to Minneapolis building permits, Ole and Emma Olson commissioned Contractor A. P. Sampson to both design and build this Colonial Revival home at a total cost of $3,730, including a barn. Construction was completed in June of 1903.
With its symmetrical facade and classic detailing, the home is a fine example of the Colonial Revival style, which was very popular at the time.
ORIGINAL OWNER
Minneapolis City Directories and Census records show that Ole Olson owned what must likely have been a successful butcher shop in Minneapolis. Ole and Emma Olson lived at 3128 Park Avenue with their daughter, Eva, until 1918.
