The Queen Anne massing of these flats includes a prominent corner tower and classical details including Ionic columns supporting the porch roofs. One of the porches displays a dentilled pediment, and a row of dentils at the eave line and under the gable.
The home is historically named “Seeger Flats” after John A. Seeger who built the home for his daughters in 1904. Seeger was a long time businessman and Saint Paul activist who was widely known for his refrigeration company called Seeger Refrigeration (later Whirlpool).
