Formerly the Seeger Refrigerator Co. A strike at Seeger's in 1940 was the biggest in the city since the 1922 railroad strike, according to St. Paul papers. Organized by Refrigerator Workers Local 20459, AFL, later the Teamsters Union. When the plant closed in the 1980s some 900 union workers lost their jobs.
